Don’t ask me how I came up with this project, because to be honest I have no idea. Minds work in mysterious ways. As soon as I saw the picture of the fan- (which has been hanging in my house for about a year now due to lack of creativity), I said to myself, “Hey Kendall, that’d make a good photo board”. And yeah, so what if I talk to myself, we have great conversations. I tried describing the idea to my husband, and he had no idea what I was talking about- but now, now he loves it.
2. Fabric (about 1/2 yard depending on frame size)
3. Fabric scissors, or whatever you have.
4. Ribbon, any color- I used the teal.
5. Batting (usually $4.99/yard @ craft stores) I used scraps =)
6. A staple gun (and extra staples)
7. A hot glue gun
This is the before, remember I said this was hanging around for 1 year, yuk!
Step 1: Cut batting to size of picture ( I double layered mine)
Step 2: Use your handy-dandy staple gun and attach into framing of picture.
Step 3: Lay out Fabric flat on your floor and flip the picture over onto fabric.
Step 4: Again, using your staple gun, staple fabric into frame.
It should look something like this when you flip it back over.
Very clever!I will look at ugly old pictures differently now. They have a lot of potential…
Thanks for your comment! I know this project may look a bit tricky but it’s easy- and the end result is SO worth it! Thanks again!
