Remember my darling kitty Mason?

Well, she has a favorite bench that she loves to sit on by the door. Here she is after her surgery, when only an old cardboard box and her bench could give her comfort…
I re-did this bench over a year ago after I picked it up from Goodwill.
I noticed that the fabric was starting to tear…. Something had to be done…
1. I flipped ‘er over
2. Took out the screws holding the top to the frame of the bench

3. I put her outside on top of a pillow case… {more in a bit}
4. I then took the top of the bench and carefully cut the fabric off to unveil just the padding.

I bought this adorable elephant fabric at Joann’s for 45% off

{30% off sale + 15% off student discount}

The total for one yard was $7.69 and I used half a yard for this project.

5, 6, & 7. I measured, cut and stapled down the new fabric.

And here is the new bench top! So cute!
Now back to the frame..

8. I spray painted it a dark {leather} brown with a can of spray paint I had leftover from doing my dresser make-overs

9. I waited for the frame to dry & screwed the top back onto the bench.

And this is the finished product:

What do you think? Cute right! And this make-over only set me back about $8.00!
