Some days are just – blah.
Days when nothing seems to go right.
Days when there is no light in sight.
But, it’s not uncommon.
Because everyone has these days.
It seems like you get allotted a certain amount of “good” days –
and then something – or even more than one thing – happens.
All you can do is pause. take a deep breath. and keep going.

I adore the above quotes – especially the zen proverb.
If you keep negativity in your heart then it will continue to weigh heavy on it.
It will drag you down so much that when you peek over your shoulder –
you’ll see trail marks in the ground behind you.
A worn path.
So take that second to breathe.
Let it all go.
And relax.
Free your heart of any negativity you have –
resolve any ill feelings you are holding toward another person.
Forgive.

I recently took some time to myself.
Just an hour or so was all it took.
To think of all the things that were troubling me.
When each problem popped into my head, I would take a second and think..

is this something I can change?

If the answer was “no”, I moved on – if the answer was “yes” I listed ways to fix the issue on a notepad.
And soon enough my heart was emptied of the heaviness.

hanging in my room.

I’ve noticed such a difference.
In my mood, outlook, everything.
Sometimes I think we all need an hour –
Just ourselves and a little notepad.
To clear our heads and empty our hearts.

It’s something I am now going to pencil in at the end of each week.

How about you? How do you deal with your troubles?
