insulated sippy cup
1. Because it’s insulated
This has been the cup that we’ve been “practicing” with Wyatt. He still refuses to use a sippy cup at all times – seriously, I just can’t get him to like it! He will chew on the top of the cup to get the milk out which in turn causes him to spill milk all over himself. So when we are in public and using this cup I always have to bring an extra shirt for him to change into (usually 2 or 3). I’m not quite sure how I can convince him to suck and not chew the cup. Any advice?
travel feeding set
Second is this travel feeding set. It’s super convenient to just throw in your diaper bag and have on hand at all times. We keep it in a side pocket so we can just slip it out when we are eating out. It’s compact, and both the container and the silverware can be thrown in the dishwasher for easy cleaning!
loopy lites toy + teether
Next is the Loopy Lites toy teether. This is for ages 3 months + up but it looked fun so we tried it out. Wyatt is still getting his teeth in but instead of chewing on this, he sits in the floor and continuously presses the center (which sets off the sound + lights). He LOVES the sound of this.
step up stool
Okay, Wyatt’s favorite Nuby product so far has definitely been the Step Up Stool. He uses it to climb up onto our bed, get things that are out of his reach (ha!), and to boost himself onto the couch. William and I catch him carrying this around ALL the time. It’s so funny! The stool is really durable and can actually hold up to 800lbs! VERY handy to have if you are short like me and need help reaching the top shelf in the kitchen (don’t judge).
I love Nuby products! Yay Wyatt for going potty! It will get easier! You are doing a great job mama!
Thanks! When it happened I was like “I have to tell Pamela!” lol
Both of my kids loved the Nuby Insulated cups. They were so easy to use for their transitions from bottles!!
For some reason Wyatt bites – instead of sucks. Which can make it so messy, lol! But I love how cool it keeps the drinks!
I love Nuby products! Thanks for sharing your insights! 🙂
No problem, Angie! 🙂
I didn’t know Nuby made potty seats! And about the sippy cup, have you tried others? Especially since he didn’t take to that one, maybe try a straw sippy cup.
Jessica, this is the newest seat! Isn’t it adorable?! I am going to try straw cups again – I tried them in the past and he wasn’t into them. Like I said in the post – for some reason he likes to chew and not suck. Not sure how to fix that 🙁
Yeah for using the potty – huge milestone. My kids always do well with M&Ms as positive reinforcement!
Thanks Kathryn! We are going to introduce the M&M bit soon 🙂
We love Nuby products! Congrats on your little guy using the potty!
We did a reward system for my daughter 1 star sticker for each trip to the potty, an m&m for poop in the potty. We did it bottomless, it was much easier and we locked all the doors to the bedrooms so she wouldn’t have accidents on the carpet. We turned off all electronic devices and just played, every time I would see a sign of her about to go I would sit her immediately in the potty. After a day of staying home and focusing on this we were done with diapers during the day. Now on nap time I did put a diaper on her so she could rest and I could too. After a month of waking up dry in the mornings we took the night diapers off and she was fully potty trained.
