Disclosure: A huge thanks to World Market for helping to make this make-over possible!

Hey everyone! I am so excited about today’s post because I have wanted to share this make-over with you for a few days now! As you may know, we currently rent our home – and it’s an older home so there isn’t anything we can do as far as repairs go. We are only going to be living here for a short amount of time so we are just making the best out of what we have and trying to “pretty” it up as much as possible!

Our laundry room was a complete wreck, it was the dumping place for almost everything. It has the door that leads out into our backyard so whenever we would play in the snow or go outside things would just manage to “collect” in this room. It’s also the “cat’s room” where the litter box is and their food – so it’s just an all-around stinky, dirty room, lol.

Here are some before pictures:

As you can see, it was pretty messy – there were snow pants, towels, gloves, hats, and cleaning supplies everywhere. When I walked into this room – I was immediately stressed out. Nothing had a place, and it looked like a tornado had just hit. I needed to clean up the room, get it organized, and make it a place that I loved. I browsed the World Market website and immediately was drawn to the items that were mint colored. So, as my inspiration – I had that color in mind. I wanted a fresh and modern look – but also something that wouldn’t cost a whole lot of money, because like I said before – we are just renting, this isn’t a permanent place for us.

So I went to World Market’s website, added the items to my cart, and hit “order”. And when the big box came – I couldn’t wait to get to work. I posted some of the progress on my Instagram (I was just too excited to keep it to myself), so you may have already seen a glimpse or two. But now is time for the big reveal – are you ready?

And now, the AFTER photos:

Doesn’t it look SO much better?

It’s now a cheery place that I get to go to do our laundry! I love the mint pops of color throughout the room and the black and white subway style art. The room has it’s flaws like stained floors and machines, but it sure does look a lot better with it’s new pretty make-over, don’t you agree?!

I still can’t believe how a few key items made the difference between a dreary room and a cheerful one! Oh, and having two separate canvas laundry bins for sorting in between the machines has made a world of difference. When I carry laundry down I immediately separate between darks and lights – this has saved me so much time! Now I just grab laundry and throw it in without worry – so perfect for when I’m trying to start a load in between a baby crying or a toddler trying to draw on the wall.

What do you think of my laundry room make-over?
Could your laundry room use a little update too?
