Fall is here, finally. The air is starting to get cooler, the leaves on the trees are gradually changing, and the local cider mills have opened their doors. Confession time, we’ve already been to two. This is definitely my favorite season, I wish we could just nestle in and stay here – I’ve got no intentions of leaving it. Everything is cozy, maple-syrup-y, and amazing around these parts. But, I know in a blink it will be gone.
We’ve been going on lots of small family adventures. We try to plan something different and fun each week and I’ve enjoyed being able to all be together more. Since our little shift in careers – we’ve all been so much happier. I know how much of a blessing it is, and I don’t take it for granted.
Making the switch from being a stay-at-home-mom to a work-from-home-mom hasn’t been easy. I feel like I’m missing out on everything. My husband does his best to keep me involved, but it’s just different. It’s a change. But, I love being able to work from home doing something that I love. I love that my boys see their dad everyday. And I love that I can still be there for my family when they need me. Not only am I working on the blog, I’m also doing social media work. It’s challenging and I learn something new everyday. Within the past week I’ve learned so much about WordPress (notice the new site design), html, and design. I’ve got an amazing friend Chelsea who is a complete blog design whizz, aside from being my hero. If you ever need a blog designer, or you just want to know a hero in real life – you should look her up, she’s awesome.
So, tell me.
What have you been up to?
Has fall arrived where you live?
Fall has definitely arrived. There are parts that I’m sad about (I don’t like waking up in darkness), but love all the leaves changing colors and the fact that I can justify using my crockpot more 🙂
I’ve seen lots of things made with hay bales, but never a giant farmer! That is awesome!
I love the new design! I love that photo of you holding Wyatt & carrying Levi! you guys are just so cute! 🙂
Oh I love the pictures! I absolutely love fall 🙂
Fall is here for us too and I love it! 🙂 Love your photos!
No matter what side of the world you live in – it’s sneaking in! I love my chai latte evenings and warm scarves, but hate getting layers on kids just to get out the door and miss long sunny days. We also have coloured leaves and (!) Ergo Baby Carriers (my sand-coloured fades when I see yours – how cool is that colour, ugh!) here in Northern Europe, hehe.
The new design is great! Fall started to arrive last week – it was very cool and damp, but the weekend was bright & sunny with temps in the low 80s! I love the photos of the sunflowers, they’re gorgeous. Any MAJOR change is tough at first, but you’ll get used to the switch in roles and working from home is such a wonderful benefit.
Chelsea is amazing. Don’t know how I’d be able to work with WordPress without being able to pick her brain! I also love fall – but it’s so far away from here. Yay Texas…
Those flowers are gorgeous! It might be awhile before Fall weather arrives here in Florida, but I’m already making pumpkin everything and decorating for Fall.
Aww so cute!! Love all the beautiful pictures that you took! Fall is the best 🙂
Fall has definitely hit Chicago! I just got in from my daily bike ride and there were orange and brown leaves everywhere! I LOVE it <3
Fall is definitely here. We have been to a local pumpkin patch yet but hope to go soon. Great way to spend time the family.
What cute family photos! Fall has definitly arrived where I live…here is a link to my It’s Fall Y’all post I just posted this morning…too funny! 😀 https://www.treatsbytanya.com/2014/09/its-fall-yll.html
So many cute pictures! Fall has definitely NOT arrived here in SC, but that hasn’t stopped me from enjoying all of the awesome fall posts from other bloggers!
Yay! I love Fall! I’m glad your bubbas get to see their Daddy, too. 🙂
I adore autumn. I love fall flowers. We get mums every year.
I’m so excited that its fall! Definitely my favorite time of year 😀 I’ve been busy crocheting up a storm for some up coming craft shows 🙂
Fall has definitely arrived where I live – and I love it! Thanks so much for sharing these photos!
In the first few pictures – are those sunflowers turning orange, or are they naturally that way? I’ve only seen them be yellow before!
The sunflowers in all the shades are seriously stunning! What a fun way to kick off the season!
I thought things looked different around here 🙂 Congrats on the oppoourtunity to work on your blog full time! It’s a hope of mine to be able to do this one day as well. So far I don’t feel like the Fall has come yet, we are still experiencing warm weather in California so if it weren’t for the pumpkin spiced latte on Startbucks menu I wouldn’t even know it was Fall yet lol
APPLES! I am so excited to go apple picking this Fall, it’s not even funny! SO excited.
All of those flowers look so pretty! Lovely post.
Fall is the absolute best thing ever.
Love those gorgeous pictures!
I just love everything about fall!
I know what you mean with the stay-at-home to working mom adjustment – it is a tough one. The time we still get to spend with them is precious though 🙂 Great pics!
Your site looks great! I love the pictures- the one with the computer looks like it should be a stock photography shot. That is nice you are able to work from home though and don’t have a commute and all that comes with it.
It’s so nice to see these pictures. I just moved to LA and Fall here is very different. No sweather weather here! Now that I’m here I kind of miss Fall!
I love that photo with your dog – TOO CUTE!
Your photos are gorgeous! I love the ones with the flowers. Autumn has definitely arrived here in Ireland too, brown leaves EVERYWHERE! 🙂
Awww. Love you! You help me as much as I help you 🙂 xo
Hello there happy project pal 🙂 Loved your post, and the flowers look so gorgeous. I love this time of the season.
The flowers are amazing! At first I thought the farmer was a little fuzzy. Then I realized it is made out of hay bales. Awesome!
Great pictures. I so love the scarecrow! Too cute.
Fall isn’t here yet. We’re in L.A and it’s in the 80s.
Beautiful pictures! I love the way you have captured the fall colors and feeling. Here it’s the start of the hot season and it will just be getting hotter.
All of those fall colors are gorgeous! It’s still summer here. Maybe in November fall will come.
We have had teeny tiny peeks of fall here in South Texas, but I am excited, because it means it will, someday soon, be nice and cool and I miss that sooooooo so much! That farm is so cute with those perfectly domed plants!
So much fun! I wish we had fall weather here!
We are definitely faking Fall till it arrives with Fall crafts and Fall activities around town. It’s still 100+ degrees here so we do most of our Fall celebrating in flip flops, but we don’t mind. Beautiful pics!
LOVE that it is fall!!!!!! Just wish Texas would hurry up with the cooler temps. 😉
I love fall. Everything is so pretty!
I’m sad to report that Fall hasn’t really arrived here in FL yet. Though the nights are getting a little cooler, which is nice. I’m jealous of your cider mill excursions! Since moving from the midwest, it is one of our top things we miss. Any orchard or pumpkin patch is hours away! I hope the transition to WAHM gets easier for you. I would probably be feeling the same way!
Everything looks so comfy cozy! xoxo LOVE!
I work at a pumpkin patch part time, so for me Fall is crazy and hectic, but I love it! Sweaters, boots, football!
I love all things fall! Hopefully the transition becomes smoother for you! Good luck!
Thanks friend, I appreciate that! 🙂
I’m so happy fall is here, totally love the scarecrow 🙂
i love your blog design!!! It is just starting to cool down here. We have been going to lots of football games and taking plenty of afternoon walks to soak in this perfect weather!
