Hey everyone! Today I wanted to share this super-simple drip pumpkin DIY that I whipped up with my son Wyatt! Since putting together a list of 25 No-Carve Pumpkins, I’ve been wanting to try a melted crayon pumpkin! We had stocked up on crayons (for $.25 a box) after school started – so we had plenty to work with!
You’ll need:
– Black Crayons
– Hair Dryer
– Pumpkin (real or fake)
– Cardboard Box
– Glitter
Steps:
1) Gather and remove wrapper off crayons.
2) Place pumpkin in cardboard box.
3) Glue Crayons around stem.
4) Hold a hairdryer at high heat about 3 inches over crayons to melt. (please do not have your little ones help with this part as wax will fly everywhere!
5) Add glitter!
Pretty cute, right?

Oooh, the Sally pumpkin from NBC is too cute! I like the crayon drip thing for pumpkins, it’s so nifty! And great for little kids who should not have sharp objects. ๐
Exactly! My son had a blast helping me un-peel the crayon labels and sprinkle the glitter ๐
I can’t help but wonder how that smells. How does it smell? Is there something special about crayons that makes the smell of them melting bearable? Hmm
I thought it would smell odd – but it doesn’t! Just smells like wax. It doesn’t have that strong crayon odor.

That’s a cool idea! We have not done anything with pumpkins yet, but I always like to do a mix of carving and no-carve stuff. I might need to add this one to my list!
You should totally try out one of the no-carve ideas! It’s fun sometimes to do something different ๐
I am loving the idea of no carve pumpkins. My husband loves carving pumpkins so we probably won’t ever stop but it’s a great way for our toddler to contribute in the halloween fun without having to use knives!
