Did you know that there are more than 100,000 children in foster care awaiting adoption? For 22 years, Wendy’s® has supported foster care adoption. Thanks to Wendy’s® consumers and the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption®, 4,000+ children have found adoptive families. This is a cause that is near and dear to the founder, Dave Thomas. In 1990 Dave Thomas was asked by president George Bush to be a spokesperson for the national campaign, and just two years later the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption® was formed. It’s a non-profit public charity that aims to help every child in foster care find a wonderful home.
A special Halloween Coupon Book was created to help fund this amazing cause. Ninety cents of every $1 Halloween Coupon Book sold between September 13 – October 31, 2014 will benefit the Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption® and help more children find loving homes. Coupons are valid for use: November 1, 2014 through February 1, 2015 – so if you purchase now you can use them later!
Our local Wendy’s had a sticker right on the door talking about the cool coupon books!
Here are some ways you could use the booklets:
- Pass them out on Halloween! Each book contains a few coupons so you can separate them for multiple trick or treaters!
- Write a sweet note and give them to your mail carrier – I’m sure they’d appreciate the “sweet” gesture.
- Drop them by the local police station as a way of saying thank you to your local law enforcement.
- Give them as teacher appreciation gifts!
- Keep one in your car for a quick Jr. Frosty™ treat!
