Hi, friends! Happy Sunday!

When my husband and I got our first apartment together years upon years ago we took all of the hand-me-downs that we could find to create a space that was ours. And over the years, we’ve been adding and replacing the well-worn items for that we really love. It’s a slow process but I really enjoy seeing it all come together. And last month we got our first real bed with a headboard!

I am very particular about the pieces we invest in, and I had been searching for the perfect bed for YEARS. And then, I spotted it. The Velvet Rae bed from World Market. It was absolutely perfect – I loved the Apple Green shade and the fact that it was velvet because it gave it a real vintage vibe. The diamond tufting really makes the piece unique and the velvet is so soft and smooth, perfect for us because our kiddos love to snuggle up in bed for movie nights and this cozy bed is perfect for that!

This bed is the first new piece we’ve added to our room – and  it’s really inspired me on how I’d like to continue transforming the space. I’ve got this woodsy/natural theme in mind with an accent of crisp white linens. I’ve spotted a few more pieces from World Market that I just absolute adore and can’t wait to incorporate. I am so taken with the apple green color, aren’t you? I think it’s just gorgeous!

Here are some easy ways you can add a little Apple Green into your space:
