Hope you’re having a great day! One of my absolute FAVORITE things to do with my little guys is bake in the kitchen. They love adding ingredients, mixing, pouring, pretty much everything that’s involved with baking! And both William and I are huge Star Wars fans, so naturally we have Star Wars baking goodies! All of our items are from ThinkGeek.com and a lot of them are on sale right now, score! Now, much like the character Monica on FRIENDS, I want to be the mom that’s known for her amazing chocolate chip cookies. I want to have the perfect recipe so my boys will say things like “Oh, my mom makes the world’s BEST chocolate chip cookies,” and “My mom is so awesome, you haven’t had a chocolate chip cookie until you’ve tried the ones she makes,” you know – and other things like that. But in order to create the World’s Best recipe, I have to have a few batches under my belt so I can adjust the recipe accordingly. And there’s no better little helpers to have than my boys.
Although, Levi tends to eat more than he mixes.. but hey. The boys loved using the Star Wars measuring cups and bowls to help make our cookies. And they turned out so delicious!
Ingredients
- 2 sticks of butter (softened)
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 2 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/4 cups all purpose flour (measure, and sift)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 bag chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375ยฐF
- In a large bowl, mix together brown sugar, granulated sugar, and baking soda.
- Add butter, and mix well.
- Add flour, eggs, and chocolate chips.
- Use a tablespoon to spoon out dough and transfer to a baking sheet, be sure to space them out.
- Bake 9-10 minutes or until golden brown!
And, once they were done – we put them in our Star Wars Death Star Cookie Jar!
