If you’re a regular reader of the blog you know I absolutely love animals, and I truly believe that they have a healing power that is just incredible. I have Endometriosis and sometimes the pain is just unbearable, but even on my worst pain days, I’m comforted by our pets. They always seem to know when pain is going to hit, and they’re always there to snuggle until I’m feeling better.
Dogs are so loyal and caring. They bring an overall sense of comfort and they really care about their owners. I truly believe in the healing powers of animals. I’ve seen it first hand with not only myself, but with my son Wyatt as well. Wyatt has Autism and nothing is as calming as a snuggle with our Labrador, Emma. I have both a brother and an uncle that are Veterans, and they both have dogs in their households who serve as comforting companions.
I’m teaming up with the HEARTGARD® Plus (ivermectin/pyrantel) team and Warrior Canine Connection® (WCC), who are joining forces to help bring the healing power of dogs to Service Members, Veterans and their families.
From now to June 30th, the HEARTGARD Plus team is asking you to nominate a deserving U.S. Service Member or Veteran to win an all-expense-paid trip to Nashville & a year’s supply of HEARTGARD Plus for their dog! What makes this even sweeter, is that for every nomination, the HEARTGARD Plus team will donate $10 to WCC! The HEARTGARD Plus team will contribute up to $100,000 to WCC in 2017.
- When: Now – June 30
- What: The HEARTGARD Plus team is offering you the opportunity nominate a deserving U.S. Service Member or Veteran to win an all-expense-paid trip to Nashville and a year’s supply of HEARTGARD Plus for their dog.
- Where: Veterans can be nominated on heartgardians.com or via Twitter® or Instagram® by using the hashtags #NominateAVeteran and #Sweepstakes.
Who am I nominating? Several members of our family are Veterans, and after thinking on it for a while, I decided that I wanted to nominate my brother, Nick, for this sweepstakes. Nick served in the military and was active duty in Iraq, and now that he’s home safely (and happens to have an adorable lab, too) he would be the perfect fit for this!
If you have a special Veteran in your life, be sure to nominate them for this awesome opportunity! If you’re nominating via Twitter or Instagram be sure to use the hashtags #NominateAVeteran and #Sweepstakes!
Every purchase of HEARTGARD® Plus (ivermectin/pyrantel) in 2017 helps to further our support of WCC.
