Living Room Refresh

Hello, friends!

I can’t believe I haven’t shared our final living room refresh with you all! I wanted to share what the base of the living room looked like before breaking out the holiday decor (and yes, I’m thinking of decorating for the holidays on November 1st). We wanted to keep it neutral so we could add pops of color for the various holidays, there is something so calming about walking into a light and bright space.

But first, let’s take a peek at the before! Our living room was dark, the panels we had in the windows were too light, the lighting was outdated, the fireplace brick was dark, and the whole space just really needed a little refresh!

So we whitewashed the fireplace, ripped out the dirty carpet and added new DIY flooring, and updated the lighting with gorgeous new ceiling fans.

Items we added:

– Livio Damask Semi-Sheer Rod Pocket Curtain Panels – These panels were JUST what we were looking for! They’re such a gorgeous design, affordable, and let in just the right amount of light.

– Ranae Table Vase – I fell in love with this gorgeous vase and just had to have it. You can really see the gorgeous shape in the first pic of this blog post. It’s perfect to put long stems and other additions for the holidays! It’s officially a staple piece of our mantle and I just adore it!

– Sage Garden II’ Oil Painting Print on Wrapped Canvas – This canvas was the perfect addition to our living room. It’s gorgeous, calming, and fits so nicely on the wall by the fireplace. It’s neutral enough to leave up all year long and brings the most relaxing vibe to the living room.

– Pouncy Super Soft Plush Damask Throw – These throws are my absolute favorite because they perfectly match our drapes and they’re super soft! Oh, and did I mention they’re under $25? SUCH a great deal!

We still need to find the perfect rug, sofa / sofa covers, and a few other things but finding the right items for our living room is a little bit of a journey. I don’t want to just settle, you know? We still have a long way to go, but we’ll get there! I’ve been gathering more Living Room Inspiration ideas on my Pinterest and can’t wait to keep going!
