5th Birthday

It’s funny how excited you get about celebrating your child’s birthday. I am usually always panicking, making sure everything is perfect, and running around at the last minute. Well, there was still a little bit of that this year, but not much. We decided to forgo a big birthday celebration for Wyatt, because it’s truly something he doesn’t enjoy. I knew what he’d love most is just spending the day outside in the sunshine with his pups and his brother. So that’s exactly what we did. 

I found this quote, and it really made me stop and think.

I want my kids to grow up with memories of being loved, I want their memory bank to be full of happiness. I watched as Wyatt and Levi played together in their little plastic pool, watched the smiles on their faces, and my heart felt so happy to know that this would be one of those days. They’ll look back on these photos and see, happiness.

It was such a special day. Not because it was anything particularly grand, but because it was his, and it was filled with love.
