Disclosure: We were able to drive this car for a week in order to facilitate the review. All opinions are my own.
This past week we were test driving the 2015 Mitsubishi Outlander, and what better way to test drive than to go on a little road trip? We decided to pack up the car and take the kids down to the Toledo Zoo. We have been wanting to check it out for some time – and I am so glad that we did! We were able to fit SO much into the vehicle – two strollers, a cooler, two kids (with two big car seats), two of us, and had plenty of room to spare! The car had three rows of seating so we just put the third row down to accommodate all of our stuff.
The zoo was absolutely amazing. Unlike most exhibits at the Detroit Zoo, we were able to get up close and personal with many of the animals. For example, the only thing between us and a Polar Bear was glass. It was absolutely incredible to be able to get so close. We loved the Arctic section so much – it was so amazing to watch the seals dance through the water – they were so graceful and so large! We sat as they swam right in front of us!
Wyatt’s favorite part was definitely the fountain – he LOVES throwing coins into fountains. He thinks it’s the coolest thing ever, so of course we had to stop at every one to throw in some change.
I loved the gardens, they were so incredibly beautiful! And there were so many roses that the air was sweet. Being able to get close to a Rhino was also pretty cool, it was almost too good to be true. I could see every wrinkle, every spec of dirt, everything. You really experience these animals in a whole new way when you’re this close.
In total we walked around 2 1/2 miles around the Zoo, checking everything out along the way. We will definitely be going back to see all of the animals soon – it was just too much fun!
The boys were so sleepy when we exited the zoo (they had both stayed awake the entire time), so when we loaded back up the Outlander and got to driving they both fell asleep. The car was so comfortable and roomy – no one was cramped and we were all able to kick back and enjoy the ride.
I would definitely recommend the Mitsubishi Outlander for any family looking for a comfortable ride and lots of storage space! I love that there are three rows of seating – because if you’re like us and have huge car seats – no one else can even fit in the car! So having that third row is just so convenient.
Would you drive this car?
How fun to try out a car for a week! And I love the seal pictures!
Thank you! The seals are my favorite!
Looks like a fantastic car for family outings with multiple kids!
Yes! It sure is!
That is a gorgeous SUV! And look how much stuff you got in it!
It fit everything we had – and then some! It was wonderful!
Looks like you all had a wonderful day at the zoo! I don’t think I could ever drive a SUV but love all the space that one has ๐
Great post! I really enjoy going to the zoo. It’s true that you can really see every little detail on them when you’re that close. My favorite are the hippos!
That zoo looks awesome! I live in AZ so we don’t have any of the cold weather animals and they are my favorites! And that car looks great! How cool that you got to test it out for a week!
You stated there is 3 rows of seating. How many seats is there then? 7? Im interested in looking at it!
That looks like so much fun! I love test driving cars and road trips! ^_^
Great post! Personally I would recommend going on a safari in Africa but I know there are financial costs that not everyone can afford!
That zoo looks like it was so much fun!
What a fun adventure! The Outlander looks so sharp, almost like a BMW!
Such great pictures, and test driving a car for the weekend… how fun!
We actually had it for a whole week – it was great!
Wow you took some great shots! It looks like it was a super fun trip!
What a chic car! It’s a perfect family car without looking to “family ish”
Great family outing! And love all the stuff you were able to cram into that trunk! I think it looks like a good family car… a bit big for me right now, but I’ll probably eventually need something a bit bigger.. ๐
