So about a year ago at a local thrift shop I came across a bag FULL of vintage buttons and immediately fell in love.
Aren’t they pretty?
I picked out one of my favorite buttons {this took the longest out of any step!}, and then bought a ring base at Joann’s {they were 40% off, so it cost under $2!}
See the ridge on the back where the thread goes through? Well, we want to make that a flat surface.
I took my handy-dandy {and rusty} hammer and gently tapped the ridge until it broke off of the button.
I used Krazy glue to adhere the button to the ring base.
Then, I let it dry like this for a few minutes.
And that’s it! What do you think?

What a cute and clever idea. I too LOVE buttons. What a find. There are so many fun crafting projects you can do with buttons and I love the ring you made.
Take care,
