While searching the Country Living website, I saw this photo…
and fell in love.
I’ve had this picture that I’ve been wanting to re-do forever,
so I figured I’d try to re-create the Country Living picture.
So I took the frame apart..

Took some old scrapbook paper, measured it to fit- and began with my plastic stencils.
{I got these at Walmart awhile back for under $3}

I took my time placing each letter and used a ruler to keep the lines straight.

I added a bird stencil {also from Walmart} at the bottom for a more country chic look.

Then, using my X-acto knife I carefully traced and popped out each letter.

{Be warned: This takes FOREVER}

Of course, I added some buttons.

I then took scrap construction paper and slid it beneath the sheet.
I tried many different color combinations until I found one I liked.

Then I taped the colored construction paper onto the back.

I even cut out strips of paper to cover the border of the frame,
used a glue stick to adhere them on,
and then taped down some ribbon.

And, you’re done!

Just put the picture back into your frame and enjoy!

Isn’t she lovely?

I LOVE the way it turned out, I think this may be my first nursery item 🙂

What do you guys think?

I’ll be sharing this post on all of the great blogs listed on my sidebar!
