Lately I’ve been kind of loving the idea of saving money when I can.
Clipping coupons really does make a difference.
Today we went shopping for household items, but before we left I had everything written down –
and everything had a coupon.
We ended up saving $24.11 – and it was so easy!
I also finished the book above – which took me longer than I care to admit (and it’s only 100 pages).
Don’t get me wrong – I’m a pretty quick reader but I just haven’t been making time for reading.
But now that I’m on a little “summer break” from my online courses – I’ve decided to make time.
And with my new library card in hand – there’s no limit to the books I can read –
Well, after Wyatt goes to bed.
And my sweet hubby brought me home flowers today.
Don’t you just love surprise flowers?
I really caught myself a good one.
So, now that I’ve caught the reading bug – I need recommendations for other great books to read!
Here are a few books I’ve come across that seem to be either being raved about – or just seem interesting.

Have you read any of these?
I’m starting Bringing Up Bebe tonight – I’ve heard amazing things about it!
Have you read any Emily Giffin books? Or American Wife? Both VERY GOOD! Also A Bump in the Road and Not ready for mom jeans were great as was momzillas. All 3 of those are hysterically funny.
No I haven’t heard of her books but I will definitely jot down her name to see if my library has any! Thanks! I’ve heard great things about a bump in the road – thank you for your picks!
Don’t you just love saving money? Such a great feeling! Sounds like you have you a good man, love. Currently I’m reading Fifty Shades of Grey but I hear Bloom is such a great read. It is definitely next on my reading list. Also, I hear A Bump in the Road and Wild by Cheryl Strayed is a great read as well.
xo,
Allison
I do! I love saving those extra dollars – its nice to be able to find and use coupons for things you need! Let me know what you think of 50 shades – I’ve heard mixed reviews! Bloom and a bump in the road are officially on my list! Thanks so much for the comment ๐
Adorable blog!!! It’s always great to save some moolah. I’m not the greatest at clipping coupons but when I am, it makes a HUGE difference. Have a beautiful day!! xoxo :)))
Thank you so much! I need to stay consistent with coupon clipping too – its easier for me to go online, find what I need, and then clip them – I love target.com ‘s coupons for that reason! Hope you are having a great week!
I bought 60 cans of tomatoes yesterday..I know 60..but it saves me $3 a gallon on gas!! we will be eating tomatoes at every meal.
Do you have a kroger in your area? We collect points there and then redeem them for cash off gas – we just filled up the other day and payed $2.99 per gallon! Is that how you saved?
Loved the Hunger Games trilogy, but couldn’t get interested in Lots of Candles, Plenty of Cake.
Thanks! Hunger games sounds like such a good read – and I haven’t seen the movie yet so my vision won’t be clouded. I hate watching the movie before reading the book! Thanks grammy goodwill!
I love using coupons!!! I leave them in the inserts until a deal comes up and then I find it and clip it ๐ Do you use any sites to help you plan? I really like onefrugalchick.com and raininghotcoupons.com – let me know if you know of any other really good ones!
And I loved the Hunger Games books!! Must read in my humble opinion ๐
Brie @ Breezy Pink Daisies

I finshed all three Fifty Shades Of Grey books if youd like to borrow them. They arent the mostwell writen books Ive ever read, but the story is pretty interesting. I finished them in less than a week of purchasing them… Let me know! xoxo
Yes! That would be amazing! I am the same way with books – when I find one I like I read it in like a day! lol ๐
I just read He Will Cary You by Angie Smith and it was amazing. One of the best books I’ve ever read.
Oh – I will have to check that one out too! Thanks Amanda! ๐
This post is full of awesomeness! I wish I could stick to a list and use coupons, It might cut down on the ten trips to the store I make during the week. I’m reading Unbroken right now, it had amazing reviews and so far so good. 50 shades and Hunger Games were both awesome.
