Remember when I talked about my new tablet a few weeks ago? Well what I didn’t talk about was how much I use my tablet and laptop on the go and wifi security. Not only do I use my tablet and laptop but my phone as well. I am constantly checking my email and social media sites when on the go and the protection of my information sent over the various wireless networks is very important to me. The thing is, when you connect to a wireless network in a public space it is so easy for someone to access all of the information about what you are doing.
I never really thought about Internet protection until a family member got their identity stolen. Watching them go through the hassle of keeping their information (and bank account) safe really opened my eyes to the possibility of my information getting hacked. It’s important to protect yourself, even when you think you’re connecting to a safe wireless network, it’s always better to be 100% sure.
I am always using my phone to connect to wireless Internet when I’m running around the kids to doctor’s appointments and just doing everyday errands. It’s a quick and easy way for me to check my email, social media accounts, and more on the go. So having the mobile protection is huge for me. It’s worth the small price to pay for the protection it is giving not only myself but my family. Because by protecting myself and my information – I am protecting them too!
