Hey, friends!
Have you heard of the Get a Shot. Give a Shot® campaign that Walgreens is running? This year, when you take your child to Walgreens for their school vaccinations you will be donating a shot to a child in need. A life-saving vaccine will be provided to a child in a developing country through the Shot@Life campaign. Did you know that 1 in 5 children around the world are lacking the access to these life-saving vaccinations? (source)
This program is aimed at children 7+ so my little ones can’t get involved quite yet, but I wanted to spread the word to everyone who does have school aged children so we can rally together and help as many children as possible!
Keeping our kids happy and healthy is just what every parent wants. And I can’t imagine what it would feel like to not be able to get these life-saving vaccinations for your child. Doesn’t that thought just break your heart? I really hope that this program is still available when Wyatt and Levi are 7+.
You can make a change JUST simply by taking your child to Walgreens! It doesn’t cost a penny more, and you don’t even need an appointment. Walgreens accepts most insurances and they’ll even report back to your primary physician for you. They’re making the process of giving back as easy as possible for ya!
So, what do you say?
If you have a child age 7+ will you consider taking them to Walgreens to help a child in need?
Love this program! Such a win win for everyone!
Isn’t it awesome? I love companies that give back like this!
My kids are too young too but it sounds like a great program!
Mine are too – but I’m hoping that there will be something like this when they get older!
What an awesome program and great way to help those in need.
I thought so too! How awesome of Walgreens to do something so nice!
That is great of Walgreens. My kids get their shots at their pediatrician, but it’s awesome to know there are options.
I don’t have any children but this certainly sounds like a great way to get those shots and give back at the same time.
What a nice program with options! Mine get theirs at their doctor but its good to know in case I cant get an appt that fits with my schedule.
Way to go Walgreens! I am in Canada and wasn’t aware of this program but this is fantastic. So important for children to be vaccinated and to be able to give back to a child that may not receive one. Way to go!
What a sweet baby! Thank you for helping spread this important message! #client
I have always loved Walgreens. This campaign is great, if we get shots we will most certainly be going there.
We don’t do many vaccines so won’t participate, but I know that this is a great cause for those who do vaccinate and those who want to but cannot afford to do so.
I wish they had this program when my kids were little, such an awesome program, great for school sports when they have to go in.
