As you know, we’ve been trying to keep things a bit cleaner in our home lately. Not only with a more scheduled cleaning routine, but also more plant-based products used throughout our home. Home Made Simple started 15 years ago with DIY tips, recipes, and then evolved into an Emmy-award TV show with Laila Ali on OWN. And now, they’ve created a new plant-based cleaning product line! So you know I had to check it out!

I want our home to be a safe place for my kids and rescue animals, so I feel good about using more natural products around them. There aren’t any heavy chemical smells with these, just a fresh, clean scent. Shall we discuss the products individually? Let’s do it!

Laundry Detergent

I loooovvvee the laundry detergent! Use it in your high-efficiency OR standard washing machine (works with both), it’s amazing when it comes to removing stains, dirt, etc – thank goodness! Because with all of our pets and the boys, things get pretty dirty around here! Our kiddos and pups love to play outside so I’m constantly washing our rugs, their clothes, etc. The detergent is also super gentle on the skin which is something our family needs (we have sensitive skin). In fact, 75% of the ingredients are plant-derived – formulated without phosphates, parabens or dyes! The lavender scent is our fav but it also comes in unscented!

Fabric Softener

The fabric softener pairs perfectly with the laundry detergent. Just add it to the fabric dispenser tray or right to the rinse cycle directly, wash on cold, and enjoy! The fabric softener is also blended with plant-based ingredients, 70% of the ingredients are plant-derived. Like the detergent, it’s gentle on the skin and formulated without any phosphates, dyes, or optical brighteners.

Dish Soap

The dish soap comes in lemon, rosemary, and lavender scents. I love lavender! It’s also made with 95% plant-derived ingredients, is tough on grease, and contains no phosphates, dyes, parabens, phthalates, or gluten. Oh, and to make things even sweeter – the liquid soap bottle is 100% recyclable!

Multi-Purpose Cleaner

The multi-surface cleaner is great for hard surfaces around your home (no unfinished wood). Just spray on your hard surfaces and wipe with a paper towel or reusable cloth, easy peasy. It’s made with 80% plant-derived ingredients and is formulated without phosphates, dyes, parabens, phthalates, or gluten. The bottle for this is 100% recyclable, too!

So amazing, right? I was so excited to get my hands on these products and try them out in our home.
