Let’s be honest, traveling in the car with little ones can sometimes be a pain. Especially if it’s a long car ride! You really need things that can keep (and hold) their attention! In our car we always have a few books for Wyatt to look at while we’re driving – he loves flipping through the pages, pointing, and having us read to him. He reads these books on our drive to school each week, when we take Levi to the doctors, etc. It seems like we are always on the GO! Here’s a list of our favorite books to keep in the car – and house!
Wyatt’s favorites:
- Where Are Baby’s Easter Eggs // Karen Katz
- Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? // Bill Martin Jr., Eric Carle
- I Love You Through and Through // Bernadette Rossetti Shustak, Caroline Jayne Church
- Where Is Baby’s Belly Button? // Karen Katz
- Frozen // Golden Book
- The Very Hungry Caterpillar // Eric Carle
What are some of your little ones favorite books right now?
Aw, how fun! I remember when my guys were little enough to read those!! We had at least three of them too!
I Love You Through and Through and Frozen are the only two that we haven’t had on our bookshelf for a long time! We have Frozen now, but it’s a new addition.
Eric Carle were some of my favorites growing up!
I used to LOVE the very hungry caterpillar. No kids yet, but I am already starting my book collection.
I live vicariously through my bestie and her little one. She’s not of the age to start reading in the car just yet, but I’ve already invested in her reading collection from before she was born! The Very Hungry Caterpillar was one of them! I think I slipped Goodnight Moon in there too. My favorite childhood book before I got into Nancy Drews when I was 8 or 9 was Eeps Creeps My Room.
oh brown bear brown bear. I forgot about that book and now feel all sentimental. I guess i’ll get that at the library this week!
Great list! We need to add some for our many road trips!
