Disclosure: I was sent the following item for review, all opinions are my own.

Recently I was sent a Cortex Pro Collection Ceramic Curling Iron (1 1/2 inch) for review. When I first opened the package I was a bit intimidated because I have never used a curling wand before. I saw the wand and the glove and immediately thought it would be too difficult to use. So one day last week while Wyatt was napping I busted it out and got to work.

It heats up – fast. Like, super fast. I had enough time to brush my hair out and apply the glove before it was already ready to go! I sprayed my hair with a heat protector spray that the company sent before styling and away I went. I just followed the simple instructions which were to wrap your hair around the wand (wand pointing down) and before I knew it loose waves were starting to form. If I wrapped the hair tighter – there would have been tighter curls but that’s just not really a good look for me. So I just continued making the loose waves. It took about 20-30 minutes to do my full head of hair. I’m sure next time I’ll be a bit quicker now that I have this first time under my belt – but it was fun to just have some “me” time to pamper myself.
