I just can’t believe that it’s this time of year again, already.

The Christmas tree is out, the crafts have begun, and we’re ready to celebrate and spend as much time possible under those twinkling lights. I wish we could just leave our Christmas decor up all year – there is something so special and different about the winter. The air is crisp, the skies clear, and going outside has the insane power of completely revitalizing you.

It’s a time where hot cocoa becomes the drink of choice and you are (or at least I am) constantly picking Santa stickers off from the bottom of your feet, and I love it. I want to soak it all up! I love everything commercial about the holidays too – the buying of presents, the wrapping, etc. One of my favorite things to do is wrap the presents – I buy pretty paper, shiny bows, pressed tissue paper, and lovely labels and I crank up the Christmas tunes and get to work. It’s both therapeutic and relaxing for me.

I’m excited for my first Christmas as a mother of two. I’m excited for Levi to celebrate his first Christmas as well – there is just so much to be thankful for this year. SO much. I am really loving where I’m at right now – it took awhile to settle in to the new routine – (and getting used to the lack of sleep), but I feel like we’re really starting to hit a groove and it feels good, feels comfortable.

So we’ll just be over here, drinking cocoa, wrapping gifts, and watching way too many Christmas cartoons. I know 2014 will be the year of a lot of changes, there are some things behind the works that are both scary and exciting. Things that I’m dreading and things that I’m really looking forward to. And I can’t wait to continue to share our journey with you.

Happy Holidays!
