Do you have a child who is going back to school this year? Are you going back to school this year? Are you looking to save some money but not skimp on technology in a phone and plan? Well, let’s talk cheap wireless plans!
In September I’ll be heading back to school. Yup, you heard that right! I’ll be attending college online to finish up my bachelors degree (I’m so close!) and I can’t wait to jump back into my studies. As a mom it’s easy to put ourselves last, which is what I do when it comes to my family. It seems like there is always something popping up that acts like a roadblock to the goals I have set for myself. But as Wyatt heads off to school in the fall, I’ll have a few hours per day to be able to really focus on school work. Levi will be hanging out with William so there will be no distractions, I can’t wait to finally get that degree! It’s been SO many years in the making!
Anywhoo, I’m totally rambling – let me show you my awesome (and inexpensive) phone that will help keep me on track! Levi and I picked it up at Walmart the other day:
It’s called the Alcatel One Touch Evolve (Reg $79.88 on rollback for just $29.88 at Walmart!). I mean, $30 for a smart phone – you just can’t beat it! Plus the plan is only $34.88/mo for Unlimited Talk Text & Web which means I can search on the internet, text William throughout the day, call my professor if needed, and so much more!
It’s a great little phone and it’s got a ton of built-in features to help me plan out the semester. If you didn’t know, I’m a total planner. I plan everything now – I mean, you just have to with kids and busy schedules! If I didn’t write everything down I would forget a lot. It’s just really easy to get distracted when you’ve got cute little ones around!
Here’s a little image with some of my must-haves:
Good luck! I’m going back to school (online) to finish my degree too!
My kids are going back to school but they are still to young for a phone of their own. Maybe next year for my daughter, Ill keep this in mind then. I am not going to spend a fortune on a phone for a child this is perfect.
I got my grandma an LG Tracfone from QVC it was such a good deal. It was like 50 bucks came with 400 mins, accessories and 2,000 bonus minutes. Good luck on getting that degree!
I’m not going back to school, but with three jobs myself (and my husband has 2) plus our community activities and friends and family, I definitely have to plan! I’m an iPhone addict, though ๐
No, I am not going back to school! I went back at age 40 and got my BA in Envir Sci. At the same time I finished up my AS in Accounting–NO MORE thank you very much! I do congratulate you on finishing your degree-you will be so happy when you finally gey what you always wanted–I know I was!
My kids are already back in school but arent old enough for a phone yet – This is a great idea for parent who have kids in Middle School and up as an easy and affordable way to keep in touch!
We are not quite at the phone age in our house. That seems like a nice phone though!
I’m one who worries about radiation, but I am considering a GPS locator for my kids.
I used to plan mostly in my head, but I’m getting better at getting on the computer, or at least on paper. You’re right though, it is smart to plan. (PS those slippers are awesome!)
Yay for you going back to school!! I hope it’s not too hard on you! ๐
I am obsessed with your planner. So cute. And congrats on going back to school. Good job girl. Its hard but totally worth it in the long run!!!
My daughter will be going to middle school this year, and we are debating on getting her a phone if she chooses to do after school sports. I like how inexpensive this one is, even with all the bells and whistles!
I love seeing back to school posts because it reminds me that for the first time ever I’m not going back to school! Yay for graduation!
i’m not going back to school, but after college and then grad school, i’m ok with that! haha….my boyfriend, however, is heading into his final year of college and i can’t wait for him to be done!
Sounds like a cool phone, good luck with your degree
I’m the same way with my planner.
Congrats on finishing up your degree! Love your notebook and your must haves for back to school!
Oh I think one of these phones would be perfect for my little brother! He needs an unlimited plan for sure due to being a social butterfly in high school.
That is fantastic for putting yourself back into school – as a mom, I can imagine how tough (yet rewarding) it will be! That phone looks so practical and cute! <3 Good luck completing your degree! I'm sure you will do amazing! <3
My kid is not getting a phone unless it is $5 a month LOL.
The kiddo will be back to school all too soon, and she could definitely use a phone. And I’ll take the coffee, please!
Yay for going back to school!
I am SO excited for you!!!
This Alcatel phone looks and sounds like a great one! I have heard a lot of great things about Walmart Family Mobile’s service. And I love your Erin Condren planner; I just got mine last week and am loving it already!
Congrats on heading back to school to finish up your degree. I’ll be doing the same thing too myself in a few months. I’m in a contract right now so can’t take advantage of this but will keep it in mind when it’s over.
30 bucks for a smart phone is such a great deal ๐
I love Walmart Mobile! They have amazing plans.
I am literally counting the days (25) until I can update my phone. Cannot wait!! Congrats and great luck on heading back to school!
I love your back to school must-haves! I need all of those
Great list of back to school must haves!
I love that notebook! and good luck on your return to school! ๐
I’m starting a new semester in September and so want that planner!
I hope your first day back goes well!
The price is right!
My son is heading to Kindergarten. I am not sure if I’m quite ready to give him a phone yet but when I am ready I know exactly where to go! #client
