Disclosure: Many thanks to Dyson for sponsoring today’s post.
Hi friends, Happy Sunday!
I wanted to share a REALLY cool contest with you today that the James Dyson Foundation is currently having. The James Dyson Foundation wants to light the spark and encourage people to think differently, make mistakes, and invent! James Dyson started this foundation back in 2002 to support design and engineering education. Because the world NEEDS more engineers to help solve 21st century challenges!
For the holidays, the James Dyson Foundation has an launched a fun engineering challenge! Young designers everywhere are encouraged to design and build a gingerbread house! It’s easy. Just get creative and construct the best #JDFgingerbread house you can! There is no limit on materials – just be creative! Dyson engineers are joining in on the fun and building too and giving tips along the way!
The contest is open now and ends on December 22, 2014 at 12:01am EST.
Rules: One winner will be selected and their photo featured on the James Dyson Foundationโs website. Dyson engineers will judge the entries. The winner will be selected based on overall design and creativity. Official rules can be found here.
How to enter: Entering the contest is simple. Post a photo of your gingerbread house build to Facebook or Twitter, tagging the James Dyson Foundation and using #JDFgingerbuild and #contest.
How fun does this contest sound?
All you creative friends out there – it’s time to get to work! ๐

This sounds like so much fun! If we do one on Christmas Eve, I will definitely post!
sounds like a fun contest. Thanks for sharing.
Oh my gosh, that contest sounds so fun!
I built a Gingerbread house for a work competition when I was in college. It took me 8 hours to complete. I was a Gingerbread Ninja…and I won the competition which netted me some Caphalon cookware. ๐ LOL
Awesome contest!!
