Hi, friends! Happy Monday!
Do you have any basketball fans in your house? My husband is pretty much obsessed with any/all sporting events – especially the upcoming basketball tournaments! I knew we’d be watching the upcoming games and having company over – so I wanted to create a fun and colorful snack for the kiddos to enjoy! We love incorporating our little ones into anything/everything we do – and doing things as a family like watching sporting events is very important to us. And everyone in our family loves Skittles – so, dunk the rainbow, taste the rainbow!
I headed to Sam’s Club to pick up a big 54oz. bag of Skittles, some strawberry yogurt, and some whipped topping to bring my idea for an easy, 3 ingredient treat to life.
The sweet treat that I’m about to show you how to make is perfect to make for any occasion, especially when watching sports! Because, as you know – no one can pass up a sweet treat! This is so easy to make, and so fun to make!
Here’s how:
Steps:
1) Grab a few Mason Jars
2) Add one cup of strawberry yogurt
3) Add 1/2 cup Skittles
4) Continue to layer
5) Top with whipped topping and a spoon!
Doesn’t it look yummy? The flavors from the Skittles and strawberry yogurt really mix well together! It’s a tropical treat that’s fun to eat ๐ So, make sure you swing by Sam’s Club to pick up all of the ingredients to make this tasty treat at home just in time for the game! You can find Skittles in the candy aisle, or out on pallets in the aisle!
Does your family watch basketball?
I love Skittles, but I need to eat them in a certain order, so I am not sure this would work for me ๐
This looks great! I’m a huge fan of Skittles, so I can’t wait to try this.
What a wonderful treat! I am seeing a lot of fun ideas to incorporate skittles into a snack. I love that you use it with yogurt.
What a fun recipe! I love Skittles, and this looks like a way to get my candy fix without it being completely unhealthy!
I do not watch basketball, but my husband and son do. They would just love this refreshing snack during halftime!
I love Skittles. This sounds so good but so sweet!
My nephew has played basketball all threw high school. It is fun to watch. This looks like a great treat . I will have to try making some.
This looks awesome and probably tastes just as good but I do like my skittles in a certain way lol.
Oh now the kids and I would definitely enjoy this one.
I love how the colors swirl!
What a delicious treat, YUM! It looks so pretty too. This would make a great Easter dessert!
My son is a huge sports fan, basketball included. I think he would love this when he wants something sweet.
That looks so delicious and really colorful! What a great idea!
Oooh my kids (who am I kidding, my husband) would love this! I am definitely going to make it for them all soon.
What an interesting idea, I have never though of something like this before!
That’s a really cute idea! I personally don’t like skittles too much, so I would probably substitute it for m&M’s!
No we’re not really into sports but we do like Skittles. =) Will have to pick some up and try this. Looks yummy.
Personally I think I would like the combination moreso with vanilla yogurt rather than strawberry. Either way, this is a spectacular looking treat that I’m sure is very tasty. I’ll have to try it as a morning pick-me-up while I’m a work.
I’m so trying this today! Just bought a whole lot of mason jars. We don’t watch basketball but my husband is a huge cricket fan. I’m not really into sport to be honest.
I’ll tune in for part of the Women’s tournament but I stopped watching Men’s college basketball after the Michigan glory years. I don’t even know when the tournaments kick off this year.
Skittles! I married the world’s biggest Skittles fan. When everyone in the house is asking for chocolate, he’s asking for Skittles. ๐
Great idea, my girls would love this! Thank you for sharing
That looks delicious! My husband watches basketball, namely college basketball (Kentucky Wildcats), but I never really got into any type of sports.
This would be the best thing for a birthday treat for my son. I will have to make this for him this month.
Oh my goodness! This looks so delicious. I definitely have to try this. Thanks!
Wow – this looks SO awesome. I am loving the combination of flavors and the bright colors. Everything tastes better in a mason jar! ;D
Mmm, what a yummy treat! This looks delicious! I’ll have to make it soon.
