Hello, friends!
Hope you’re having a great day so far! I am SO excited about today’s post because I’ll be showing you how to make the ultimate BOO kit! As you may know, I absolutely love animals, and happen to have three cats at home! Today we’ll be making a kitty-focused BOO kit for you to surprise a friend or neighbor with!
If you’ve never heard of BOO’ing, it’s simple – create a gift, deliver it secretly, and BOO it forward! For our kitty BOO DIY we’ll be creating the container that it comes in. I wanted to do a DIY because it really adds a more personal touch.
DIY BOO Crate:
- Small wooden crate
- White Craft Paint
- Orange Craft Paint
- Wooden add-ons (I chose pumpkins and “BOO”)
- Foam Brushes
- Wood / Super Glue
Steps:
- Paint wooden crate with white craft paint.
- Paint wooden elements.
- After dried, arrange wooden elements where you want them on your crate, secure with wood glue.
- Get ready to fill your BOO kit!
Now that you’ve got your BOO crate made, it’s time to fill it with goodies! I picked up everything at Walmart in the cat aisle. I chose items that my cats all love, and items I know my friends cat will love, too!
For your kit, you’ll need:
- American Greetingsยฎ tissue paper in white, orange, and black
- Temptationsยฎ classic treats for cats tasty chicken flavor 6.3oz
- Temptationsยฎ classic treats for cats savory salmon flavor 6.3oz
- SHEBAยฎ PERFECT PORTIONSโข Chicken Patรฉ
Steps to put your kit together:
- Stuff your BOO kit with tissue paper
- Add in all of the goodies you purchased
- Print out a free BOO’d card to include
- Secretly deliver it to a friend
Cute, right? I know that if I opened up my door and saw this adorable BOO kit outside, I’d be so surprised! Now that the BOO kit is delivered, I can’t wait to see if the person who receives it decides to BOO it forward, too!
Have YOU ever created a BOO kit?
Be sure to print out the free BOO’d card if you create one this year!
Love this BOO kit? Be sure to pin it for later here:
How clever! We love to boo our neighbors every Halloween, I’d never thought to make a basket like this! Thanks
This is super cute! I’m sure someone will be very thrilled to receive it. What an adorable idea! I love how you pulled off the crafty aspect in this post while also showing the kitten food.
How clever! Iโd never thought to make a basket like this! Thanks
Our neighborhood started the Booing thing last year for kids and we also had a “You’ve been Boo-zed” for adults where you leave different beers and wines. It was so fun. This would be great for all sorts of pets.
I’m not sure Miss Lucy, my cat, would be care if it was Halloween or not but she does like her treats, especially Temptations. Very cute crate though, i’d be great to make a gift basket for my friends
Oh my gosh. This is so cute. I will need to make this for my sweet Felix! He is my Siamese mix and he LOVES all of those treats (and probably eats too many). I never would have thought to make a basket like this but it would be totally worth it.
What a super cute idea. I don’t have a cat, but I have a lot of friends who own cats. I will share this with them.
Trick or Treat got to love Halloween. Your boo kit is so cute and sadly I don’t have a kitty kat but I really wish that I did. Meow!
What a great idea! These would also be fun to share with an animal shelter to give to adopters during the Halloween season.
My friend would LOVE this. What an awesome idea! Very creative and wonderful for a little kitty.
That’s so funny and cute. Cat lovers would love this Boo! I would really like this if I owned a cat.
Any cat lover would love such a gift. I know if I had a cat, I would love it! Such a great idea, and think of how versatile it is!
This is so cute! I might have to make one with my daughter for our sweet cat. I know she’d love the treats!
How great! I love that you used a reusable container. #client
This is super adorable and a fun and easy DIY. I don’t have any cats, but I do have dogs, and I think they would love this!
This is utterly adorable! I don’t have any cats due to allergies, but I know that my sister-in-law would love something like this for her cats.
Omg what fun! This is such a fun idea and will surely share this as I’m sure cat lovers out there (including me!) will appreciate. Awesome job!
This is such a fun and adorable craft! My boys would love to help me make something like this for Halloween.
