I am so excited to share today’s blog post with you because it’s combining two of my favorite things, gift giving and giving back! Today I’m going to show you how to put together the perfect gift for the golf lover in your life, share a little bit about Meijer’s hunger relief program, Simply Give – and share a fun giveaway!
First things first, let me show you what I picked up for my father-in-law’s Father’s Day gift from Meijer! Since the gift is for a guy, I wanted to choose a more masculine basket. I found this perfect wire and canvas basket that will be perfect to house the gift, and something he can re-use later.
Next, I picked up some popular golf items that he’ll need this season. Everything from golf balls, golf gloves, towels, tee’s, markers, practice balls, and more – I found it ALL at Meijer! They had a really great selection so I was able to really personalize and grab his favorite brands.
I started to fill the basket by putting the larger items in the back, and layering the smaller items in front. I wanted to make sure that when I hand this over to him, he sees all of the goodies at once.
When I was done filling the basket, I added a few different colors of tissue paper and a golf themed card to really make it pop. I really had such a great time choosing all of the items and packaging it all up in the pretty basket. And I just know my father-in-law is going to love his gift this year! I’ve even snuck in a few tickets to the Meijer LPGA Classic – the perfect finishing touch!
Didn’t the gift turn out cute? I can’t wait to hand it over to him on Father’s Day! My father-in-law is such an important person in my life, and I love showing him how much he’s loved and appreciated on Father’s Day. I don’t have a great relationship with my own dad, and my father-in-law took me under his wing when William and I first started dating, and still to this day. It’s something I’ll always be grateful for, he has shown me so much love and kindness, and he is the best father I could have ever asked for.

All About Simply Give
Meijerโs Simply Give is a hunger relief program that has helped neighborhood food pantries keep their shelves stocked since November 2008. It’s raised overย $26 million dollars that have fed hungry families. 26 MILLION DOLLARS. Can you just imagine the impact that money has made?
One of the main fundraising events for Simply Give is the The Meijer LPGA Classic. It is a world-class golf event for families, and it’s impact has raised so much awareness (and funding) to help Meijer’s effort to relieve hunger in the Midwest. The Meijer LPGA Classic is a full-on family event that has something for the whole family, even kiddos!ย
So many families across the Midwest struggle to put food on their tables, and Meijer wants to help those families. Previous LPGA Classic tournaments have generated more than $2.1 million dollars for the Meijer Simply Give program, and that money went to restocking shelves of food pantries all across the midwest.
