Days like this are my favorite.

Days when William, Wyatt, and I just get to spend the day together paling around at the house. I think it’s the simple things that most of us take for granted. The simple “everyday” moment that’s seem like there are millions of them but really they are one in a million. Easy things, like cuddling up on the couch with your little one- watching their little fingers wrap around a blanket, watching their mouths move, and for Wyatt- watching as his little cheeks become rosy. Sometimes, I miss these little moments when I really need to be cherishing them. Because already time has just flown by since Wyatt was born- and these moments are fleeting.

For example, this week alone Wyatt has learned how to go from a crawling position to a sitting upright position. Watching him go between the two is adorable and every time he does it my heart grows because I am just so proud of him. Proud because he sat up! Yup, that’s right. And he is learning to pull up on things to stand too!

And if that wasn’t enough to make me proud- he has also perfected the art of slam dunking in his basketball hoop. A feat both William and I have been anxiously awaiting.

Having this thought.. of appreciating the small things made me realize I wanted to document more of those things on here. For me. So here are a few amazing small moments and things I want to remember.

Reading with Wyatt.
Baby toes.

Watching him splash and play in the tub.
And cuddling him up in a cozy towel afterwards.
Now I’m off to put my little man to sleep, make a hot cup of coffee, and breathe.
