Hey all! Today I’m sharing a REALLY EASY and healthy breakfast idea with you! When I first decided to start eating right my biggest concern was breakfast. I never want to eat anything too heavy – but cereal just doesn’t cut it for me, I’m always hungry an hour later. So I went experimenting with different overnight oatmeal recipes and starting coming up with some concoctions of my own! This is my FAVORITE so far – and I just know you’ll love it too!
1/3 cup rolled oats
1/2 cup vanilla almond milk
2 tsp chia seeds
1/4 tsp vanilla extract
3 tbsp nuts ( almonds )
1/4 cup fresh fruit ( blueberries or strawberries work great! )
1 tsp of honey
1 5-6oz container of Vanilla Greek Yogurt
Just put everything in a mason jar – shake it up – and put it in the fridge overnight! Chia seeds can absorb up to 10x their weight so adding them into the oatmeal keeps you fuller, longer! I’ve been putting them on everything lately! You cant taste them and the oatmeal doesn’t taste “seedy”.
This is my absolute favorite breakfast right now so I really hope you try it!
