I still can’t believe that we just celebrated Levi’s first birthday on Halloween. I just can’t get over the fact that he’s already one! Levi and I were both really sick the week before his birthday so we weren’t able to go all out the way we had wanted to. The day was spent snuggling up, opening presents, and of course – enjoying some cake.
Wyatt had gotten sick the week before and we all ended up catching it one by one. For some reason it hit Levi and I at the same time so we’ve been sick buddies all week. We’re still not 100%. So although we didn’t get to go trick-or-treating or have a big party – we still made the best of it!
I still made Levi a big cake and a smash cake for his special day. It took me awhile to do because I was kind of seeing double, LOL. But I think it turned out pretty good! I found this pumpkin cake idea somewhere on pinterest and decided it would be perfect for Levi’s Halloween birthday.
My awesome father-in-law decorated his house for Levi and we ended up going over there later in the day for pizza and to have cake. Levi LOVED his smash cake and ate SO much icing.
After everyone was cleaned up a little, we put on Halloween costumes so I could get some pictures. William was Luigi, Wyatt was Mario, and Levi was one of the turtles.
They looked so so cute in their costumes!
And even though little Levi was sick – I still think he had a really great day! We ended the day with lots of snuggles and milk and when we put him down for bed, he fell right asleep ๐

How Cute!!! I love their costumes! My family was the same way when someone would get sick when we were younger. My brother would be the first to get sick, then my mom, then my sister, and sometimes me (I dodged the bullet a lot of the time.) I’m glad you are starting to feel slightly better, being sick is definitely no fun.
