Hope you’re having a wonderful Sunday! Today I wanted to share one of my new favorite things, this new Dyson V6 Mattress Press! Lately I have been obsessed with deep cleaning everything, it’s kind of like nesting when I was pregnant with the boys – I just want our home to be as clean as possible!

Did you know we spend one third of our life sleeping? Makes you want to keep your bed in tip-top shape, right? On average, we shed 28g of skin cells per month and as you sleep, many of these skin cells go right into your mattress. Eep! I couldn’t BELIEVE how much the Dyson was able to pick up from my mattress, and this is our NEW mattress – you know, the one we’ve only had for a few months. A good mattress is a huge investment, which is why I want to keep ours clean!

Fun Fact: The dust mites that feed on your skin lay up to 40 million droppings a day, which we breathe in. The dust mite feces contains a protein that triggers allergic reactions (asthma, eczema, etc).

According to the Asthma and Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA), an estimated 20 million Americans are allergic to dust mite droppings. The most effective way to remove these allergens is through vacuuming your mattress.

And now, the nitty-gritty, because I know you ALL want to know. Just how much did the Dyson pick up from our new mattress? You really won’t believe how much dust it sucked out of our mattress!

AH! Can you believe it? It feels so good to know that “stuff” is OUT of our mattress. And now, if you’ll excuse me – I’m off to clean the boy’s mattresses as well!
