Who else is excited for the weekend? As you may or may not know, we purchased our first home last November. I can’t believe we’ve almost lived here a year and still have moving boxes in the garage…
Since we moved in we’ve been tackling our home room by room. We completed our half bathroom makeover back in June and we took a little break after that because DIY is stressful, people. We’ve decided that the next area of our home to get a makeover will be our kitchen. Our kitchen is pretty small and there is a LOT of brown, definitely not my style – but it’s nothing a little pain can’t fix, right?
I’d love to paint all of those cabinets a dusty blue/teal/greyish color and leave the white trim. Then I’d add in some new appliances from KitchenAid.

So pretty, right? I love these shades and think that keeping the upper cabinets white, and lower one of these would look amazing! Now onto choosing appliances.ย I love the look of stainless steel, but this bold color of the first-ever black stainless steel appliances has me swooning!
It brings something a little softer and warmer to the look, and features a chef-inspired design, I mean, just check out that organization! Wouldn’t this line look awesome in our kitchen with the white and greyish/teal cabinets? I think the contrast would really make the appliances and cabinets pop! I’d love to also swap out that tiling behind the stove area for some modern subway tile to complete the look.
But back to those appliances, they’re definitely on our wish list!
